Football Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

Arsenal's ten-match winning run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the global hiatus, but will the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, readers and a variety of special visitors.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' latest album, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Life

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of several charity football games over time - but he is not planning a professional return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a benefit match the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have two children, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I won't push football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer side," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be quite close, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their previous couple matches - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's sole away win this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno was previously Forest manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season started, but they have impressed a several people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.

A family member advised me to get Bees forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had much success on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I think the home manager's team pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.

They have have plenty of talent in their squad but it still seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.

Their performance in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the close of last month.

But I am not going to do that. Instead, I truly need to carry on going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Looking at Fulham's home form, the sole side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor streak... but Fulham have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
