The Secret Organization is set to exert significant influence in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, although the major clash isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has just been cast.

Netflix announced recently that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Mr. 2. The role possesses the power to transform into an perfect replica of any individual they’ve made contact with with their main hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a version of that role reimagined as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag queen, in the live-action series, as in the source material and cartoon version.

Escola will work alongside several other fresh additions set to bring Baroque Works to the screen, including head the main antagonist, brought to life by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and a familiar face, who will appear as the lineup as the monarch of the fictional land.

Even though the role is a key figure of Baroque Works, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this represents a major departure in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate further changes to the plot development.
