Your Ideal Pokémon Tales: Z-A Super Form According to the Astrological Sign
This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement across the community. From the one-by-one reveal of newcomers ahead of the game's release, to trainers developing firm opinions on the entire roster of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to anticipate.
With numerous of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive appearances that highlight their personalities, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as always angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram much more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful partner; if you cross them, be ready to face the consequences.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Similar to a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its standard and Mega form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the creature and a Taurus are still Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Many past official descriptions note their craving for tasty tree sap and how it employs its horn to collect it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Look at this total queen. It's impossible to convince me this Pokémon is not the life of any gathering, offering an endless fountain of gossip to anyone who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly easy to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their stories. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also states its ability to predict an enemy’s future actions, which sounds quite like a socially-savvy Gemini.
Cancer – Mega Manectric
Cancer is commonly regarded as the most emotional member of the zodiac, a intense symbol famous for often getting wrapped up in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's excessive for Manectric to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also known for its capability to create a storm cloud over its very self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.
Leo – Super Starmie
Well, did you assume I was going to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or terrifying, based on your preference). Players were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same energy a Leo brings to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a show, albeit for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly critical is clearly reflected across this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked face like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo sends to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a plan.
The Scales – Super Audino
Observe this sweet, empathetic being, who employs the sensors on its ears to tell how people are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and trying to maintain the peace, there are numerous Libras who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. However, to be frank, it would probably just make them stress even more about others.
The Scorpion – Super Banette
Banette is a creature with a surprisingly sad origin: Discarded as a doll, it gained sentient through sheer resentment and swore retribution on its former owner. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a show. As a Sagittarius myself, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly small jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Super Form, its description even notes how it “flexes to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.
The Goat – Super Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to predict calamities ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently think they’re right. The thing is, similar to a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.
The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
Aloof air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is Leo, and there are countless jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire typing matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting presence is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “absorbs hatred and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
